ISLAMABAD, Sept 23: Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry, has convened a meeting of the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) on Saturday in the Supreme Court.

According to a SC announcement, the meeting will be presided over by the chief justice and attended by two senior most judges of the SC — Justice Rana Bhagwandas and Justice Javed Iqbal – besides Chief Justice Lahore High Court, Justice Iftikhar Hussain Chaudhry, and Chief Justice Peshawar High Court, Justice Tariq Pervez.

Earlier Chief Justice Sindh High Court, Justice Sabihuddin, was to attend the meeting but since he has been made acting governor of Sindh, the chief justice PHC will attend the meeting instead of him.
