DERA GHAZI KHAN: Chief Minister Usman Buzdar visited Aafi Bandh in Koh-i-Sulaiman tehsil of Dera Ghazi Khan.

The area lacks water and other basic necessities. Locals welcomed the chief minister and served him goat milk tea.

Mr Buzdar announced the establishment of a school and a picnic point in Aafi Band area and provision of potable water tank to the people. The Punjab government would review the possibility of starting sewerage and water supply schemes in the area. The area also called Koh-i-Safaid is underdeveloped.

“I got the office of the chief minister to resolve the problems of the areas like Aafi Bandh as I’m the spokesperson and supporter of the people of the backward areas,” the chief minister added.

He said those sitting in air-conditioned rooms did not even understand the difficulties of the common man. The additional chief secretary of south Punjab, the commissioner, the RPO and other officials also accompanied the chief minister.
