KARACHI: Despite Noor Wali hitting up an excellent century, Dawood Sports were eliminated from the All-Karachi Prof Ejaz Ahmed Faruqi Invitation Cricket Tournament when they lost their semi-final against Bilal Friends by two wickets here on Tuesday.

Batting first at the TMC Ground, Dawood Sports collected 237-6 in the stipulated 45 overs on the back of a 141-run partnership of 141 between Noor (101 ff 87 balls, seven sixes and four fours) and Shiraz Ali (57, two sixes and two fours).

Bilal Friends scraped home by reaching 238-8 in 44.4 overs with Osama Butt (48), Rizwan Mahmood (45) and Afroze Khan (45) leading their chase.

Meanwhile in the other semi-final at the KCCA Stadium, Pakistan CC defeated Alamgir Gymkhana by 60 runs. Usman Khan made 53 to help Pakistan post 202 in 42.2 overs before Alamgir Gymkhana folded up for 142 in the 35th over.

The final will be played on Thursday at the TMC Ground with ex-KCCA president and former PCB governing board member Ejaz Ahmed Faruqi gracing the occasion as the chief guest.
