Major reshuffle in bureaucracy

ISLAMABAD, Sept 20: The federal government on Tuesday notified transfers, postings and promotions of twelve senior officers mostly belonging to the District Management Group. According to notifications issued by the Establishment Division, Nayyar Agha, a BS-21 officer, presently awaiting posting, has been posted as Chief Commissioner Afghan Refugees, Islamabad, under the Safron division.

Ishtiak Ahmad Khan, presently posted as Joint Secretary Establishment Division, has been promoted to BS-21 and posted as Additional Secretary Cabinet Division.

Maj (retired) Nadeem Manzoor, at present posted Chief Secretary Northern Areas, has been promoted to BS-21.

The services of Shamsuddin Soomro, BS-19, presently posted under the government of Sindh, has been placed at the disposal of the Senate Secretariat for posting as Director General (Public Relations).

Nargis Ghaloo, BS-20, presently posted as officer on special duty has been posted as Executive Director State Life Insurance Corporation.

Maj (retired) Muzaffar Ali Afridi, BS-20, posted under the government of Balochistan, has been made OSD with effect from February 10, 2005.

Akhtar Munir Marwat, at present posted as Joint Secretary Interior, has been promoted to BS-21 and posted as Additional Secretary KANA Division.

Rukhsana Saleem, at present posted as Chairman Export Processing Zones Authority, Karachi, has been promoted to BPS-21.

Dr Syed Hyder Ali, BS-19 and presently posted under the government of Punjab, has been directed to report to the Establishment Division.

Similarly, Brig Sakhi Marjan has been posted as Chief Executive Officer Peshawar Electric Supply Company on secondment basis for a period of three years.

Commodore Mushtaq Ahmed has been posted as General Manager (Engineering) in Karachi Port Trust (KPT) for two years with effect from October, 12, 2005.

Commodore Agha Danish has been posted as General Manager (Operations) in the KPT on secondment basis for two years.—APP
