Dispute solving body formed in Gilgit

GILGIT, Sept 20: Notables across Gilgit distirct gathered here on Tuesday at the historic Chinar Bagh and decided to constitute a committee to arbitrate among people from all walks of life and schools of thought. The committee included 130 members from Sai Jaglote, Haramosh, Minawar, Pari Chakar Kote, Oshkandas, Danyore and numberdars of all areas.

The committee was formed under the supervision of peace committee of Northern Areas Legislative Council (NALC) headed by Speaker Malik Mohammad Miskeen.

He asked the participants to play their role to create harmony among various school of thoughts and make collective efforts to purge area from social evils.

He urged people to work sincerely to create a conducive environment so as to develop area with an accelerated pace.

Later talking to this agency he said its the consumate leadership of President Gen Pervez Musharraf whose idea earned respect and honour for nation among comity of global communities.—APP
