QUETTA: Finance Minister Mir Zahoor Ahmed Buledi on Wednesday said the Balochistan government had restored peace, stabilised economy, put the province on the path of development, reduced corruption and introduced reforms in several sectors since it came into being two years ago.

Flanked by Education Minister Yar Mohammad Rind, Food Minister Abdul Rehman Khetiran, Social Welfare Minister Mir Asadullah Baloch, Revenue Minister Mir Saleem Ahmed Khosa and Adviser to the CM on Sports Abdul Khaliq Hazara at a press conference, Mr Buledi presented the provincial government’s performance of the past two years. He said the government had given equal opportunity to all areas of the province in development.

“The Balochistan government’s big achievements include eradication of corruption culture, promotion of education and health sectors and increasing the provincial resources,” he said.

Mr Buledi said fake development schemes worth Rs900 billion detected by the chief minister’s inspection team were removed from the Public Sector Development Programme.
