KARACHI: DUHS staff course concludes

KARACHI, Sept 19: The certificate distribution ceremony for the third Staff Development Course of the Dow University of Health Sciences was held here on Monday in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan.

The National Academy of Higher Education has developed six modules for this training programme. The modules include Educational Psychology, Advance Teaching Skills, Administration, Planning and Communication Skills, Curriculum Development, Education Evaluation and Assessment Skills and Research Skills.

The HEC is conducting these national teachers training programmes at 10 centres throughout Pakistan with the prime objective of improving the academic standards in the public sector degree awarding institutions.

HEC Regional Director Prof S.M.Iqbal, EDO Education Prof Raees Alvi and DUHS Vice-chancellor Prof Masood Hameed Khan also spoke.—APP
