LAHORE, Sept 18: Fancied chestnut gelding, Lucky Murad, lived up to his status of favouritism when he edged out chestnut colt High Fire to win the feature event run over the sprinting distance of 1200m during the 3rd Lahore Winter Meeting at the rain soaked Racecourse in floodlights on Sunday.

The feature event was the class IV division I handicap race, the Barisal Plate, and the fifth in racing order.

Three-year-old colt High Fire ridden by jockey Javed Iqbal adopted runaway tactics and set a hot pace leading all the way to be caught up by the constant chaser Lucky Murad, who collared the front-runner 20 metres from the finishing post.
