Entrance test

BANNU, Sept 17: One hundred and sixty-five students, both girls and boys, appeared in the entrance test for the inaugural session of the University of Science and Technology, Bannu here on Saturday. Acting Dean, Dr Asmatullah Khan, and staff of the university supervised the test.

Talking to journalists on the occasion, Dr Asmatullah said that the federal government would provide Rs500 million to the university, while the provincial government would provide Rs40 million.

He said that the establishment of the university in Bannu would play a positive role in bringing the backward areas of the country at par with the developed areas.

The university has also announced admissions in BBA, BBA(IT), BCS and BIT.
