LAHORE: People had given a mandate to the PTI for “change” and laid the foundation of a “New Pakistan” with the power of vote on July 25, 2018, said Chief Minister Usman Buzdar on the occasion of completing two years of the PTI government in power.

He said the idols of corruption were crushed and the mafia was defeated on July 25 and new hopes, new expectations, new approach and new ideology had won. He said the defeated elements in the general elections had hatched conspiracies against PM Imran Khan from the day one but every conspiracy failed due to his (prime minister’s) politics of public service.

He said Pakistanis would always support PTI no matter how much the losers propagate. He said the Naya Pakistan under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan would move ahead. Irrespective of the criticism, he said, the public service journey would continue. He said the defeated elements should know that the government would complete its tenure.

Mr Buzdar said the opposition parties had disintegrated and their credibility among the people had been tarnished and the era of looting had become a thing of the past.

Meanwhile, a celebration party was organised at the PTI central Punjab secretariat and it was chaired by central Punjab president Ejaz Chaudhry. The party leaders and workers cut a cake on the occasion of completing two years in power.

Mr Chaudhry said PML-N leader Ahsan Iqbal’s press conference was a pack of lies. He said the nation should not expect truth from opposition. He said the people of Pakistan had ousted the corrupt previous rulers with the power of their votes.

CONSTRUCTION PACKAGE: The Punjab government has announced a package for the economic stability and development of construction industry.

The CM said One Window System had been introduced for getting the permits related to construction sectors. He said e-Khidmat centres would now approve construction-related NOCs and maps. He said necessary NOCs could easily be obtained from e-Khidmat Centres without bribing to anyone.
