SAHIWAL: An old man and his grandson died in an alleged accidental shooting when they were cleaning a pistol in their house in Chak Shafi in Pakpattan on Friday.

City Station House Officer Rai Khizer Pakpattan told Dawn 60-year-old Qutab Din was cleaning the pistol while his five-year-old grandson Bilawal Azam was playing in his lap when the pistol went off accidentally. The bullet first hit Bilawal and then Qutab.

It is said Bilawal died instantly while Qutab succumbed to his bullet injury on his way to hospital.
