MULTAN, Sept 16: Corps commander Lt-Gen Sabahat Husain has said the armed forces will play a robust role in improving the education system. He was speaking to the deans, chairmen and administrative heads of the Bahauddin Zakariya University during a visit to the institution here on Friday.

He hoped the talented faculty of the university would play its due role in nation building and prosperity of the country. He assured vice-chancellor Prof Dr Mohammad Naseer of his full cooperation as regard to educational activities and development.

The VC said the university would soon start some new disciplines, including nino-technology, laser and optive electronics, biotechnology, management sciences, behavioural sciences, art and design, modelling and simulation and environmental technology.
