QUETTA: Balochistan Governor retired Justice Amanullah Khan Yasinzai has said that in this advanced age of science and technology online teaching has become an important part of the education system.

Presiding over a meeting here on Wednesday to discuss the issue of online classes, he said: “We need to change our traditional teaching methods as importance and usefulness of online teaching is constantly increasing.”

The governor directed all vice chancellors to take steps for making the online classes possible and provide all necessary facilities to the students, especially in remote areas of the province, so that their precious time is not wasted.

He said by making full use of the information technology a healthy environment could be promoted in higher educational institutions in Balochistan.

Justice Yasinzai said: “We are closely monitoring the online classes going on in all government universities in the province.

He said the Pakistan elecommunication Authority had been directed to use all available resources to ensure provision of the internet service in remote areas.

The governor asked the vice chancellors to discuss in the next meeting the difficulties faced by the students in remote districts with full focus on online classes.
