ARD believes Narowal game is not over

SIALKOT, Sept 14: Six candidates submitted their nomination papers for the Narowal district nazim slot, which has remained a bone of contention till the nomination by the PML high-command. The candidates are: PML’s Dr Naimat Ali Javed, the father of Punjab Health Minister Dr Tahir Ali Javed, Col Javed Safdar Kahloon (retired), who is the former district nazim, ARD’s Chaudhry Muhammad Akbar, Chaudhry Shafaat Ali, Chaudhry Muhammad Akbar Kahloon and Chaudhry Amjad Kahloon.

While six candidates submitted their papers for Narowal tehsil nazim and five others have decided to jump into the ring for Shakargarh tehsil nazim slot.

The ARD has fielded Advocate Chaudhry Akbar for the Narowal district nazim against the ruling PML’s Dr Naimat Ali.

Speaking to journalists in Narowal, the local ARD leadership expressed optimism about giving a tough time to the ruling party.

Meanwhile, differences among the PML disgruntled groups whose nominees were in the field aggravated ahead of the D-day. Both groups are canvassing.

After Dr Naimat’s nomination by the ruling party decision-makers, National Reconstruction Bureau chairman Daniyal Aziz’s father Chaudhry Anwar Aziz stepped back.
