KARACHI: Rain-relief camps set up

Published September 15, 2005

KARACHI, Sept 14: On the directives of Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad, relief camps have been set up in various schools in the city to cope with any eventuality in case of expected heavy rain.

This was stated by CM’s Adviser Mumtaz Hameed during his visit to rain-affected areas here on Wednesday. He expressed his dissatisfaction over the pre-emptive measures taken by the outgoing city government to cope up with the situation arising out of the rain, saying that the recent downpour had exposed their claims and promises.—APP
