OKARA: The district is facing unscheduled electricity and gas loadshedding.

As the summer is on its peak, people across the district are facing an unscheduled two hours power outage after every three hours round the clock. In the pre-monsoon days, humidity has made the environment stuffy and oppressive.

People say Lesco authorities are adding stuffiness to the environment with power outages.

They say the consumption of electricity naturally goes up in the current temperature but what is wrong with the Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Limited (SNGPL) in the district as the district is facing 10 hour shut down of gas supply a day.

Some three weeks back, the SNGPL district office in charge Arshad Ali told Dawn that there was no shortage of gas but the gas supply from 10pm to 6am was not given just to develop gas pressure for the next day proper supply and it was done across the province.

Citizens demanded that Lesco and SNGPL take notice of the situation.
