LAHORE, Sept 13: The Punjab government on Tuesday removed two parliamentary secretaries from Chakwal owing to their alleged support to Lt-Gen Majid Malik (retired) contesting for district nazim slot against PML-backed Sardar Ghulam Abbas.

The notice about the removal of MPA Col Sultan Surkhro Awan (PP-23) and MPA Tanvir Aslam Malik (PP-21) was issued by the provincial law department without assigning any reason for the action.

Meanwhile, through another notification issued by the law department, the goverment appointed MPA from Mandi Bahauddin Mohammad Arif Gondal as parliamentary secretary for services and general administration department.
