SAPMs Dr Moeed Yusuf and Syed Zulfiqar Bukhari, while announcing that all flights will resume, said that passengers can now buy tickets directly from the airlines like they used to and won't need to get in touch with the embassies.

"If you don't observe the 14-day self-quarantine and we have to close our airspace, you will create difficulty for those working abroad," said Bukhari, urging people to follow through with the 14-day quarantine and stay home.

"Only come out if you have symptoms and need to go to hospital."

"We want you to come back but please follow SOPs."

"I also want to thank those people abroad who helped fellow countrymen, especially those who distributed tickets and those organisations of our overseas diaspora who helped other Pakistanis."

Yusuf also thanked overseas Pakistanis and the provinces. "All decisions have been made with consensus."

"These are repatriation flights and will start operating at 25 per cent capacity from June 20. If you don't need to come back, please don't come back right now."
