APROPOS the letter ‘Police brutality’ (June 4). The writer has mentioned an incident of death of a 14-year-old boy allegedly hit by patrolling policemen during the lockdown.
It is to clarify that no such incident neither happened nor reported at any police station or 15 emergency helpline in Sukkur district. Moreover, no heir of the supposedly deceased boy has approached any of the police stations, police officials or district complaint cell with a complaint of any such incident. So much so, that there is no mention of any such alleged murder to be found anywhere in the electronic, print or social media.
Through these columns the Sindh Police department requests the writer to furnish evidence with regard to this alleged incident so that legal proceedings can be initiated.
