KARACHI, Sept 11: The Sindh Governor, Dr Ishratul Ibad, on Sunday paid glowing tributes to Founder of Pakistan Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah on his 57th death anniversary and reiterated the government’s pledge for making Pakistan a moderate and enlightened state in pursuance of the Quaid’s dream.

Speaking to newsmen after offering fateha at the Quaid’s mausoleum, Dr Ibad said: “The nation today remembers the sacrifices and tireless efforts of Muhammad Ali Jinnah, which resulted in the creation of a sovereign state.”

The Chief Minister, Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim, and representatives of the three armed services also visited the Quaid’s mausoleum where they offered fateha and laid floral wreaths.

Brig Lateef visited the Quaid’s mausoleum on behalf of the Army, Captain Mubeen Bajwa for the Navy and Air Commodore Farhat Hussain for the Pakistan Air Force.

People from all walks of life turned out in large numbers to salute to the achievements of their leader.—PPI
