ISLAMABAD, Sept 10: A Rawalpindi Accountability Court on Saturday issued non-bailable arrest warrant against PPP leader Asif Zardari for not appearing before the court during the hearings of the SGS and ARY Gold references. Judge Accountability Court-2 Sakhi Mohammad Kahut adjourned the hearing for September 20 after issuing the warrant.

Earlier, Mr Zardari’s counsel Senator Farooq Naek informed the court that his client had undergone a heart procedure in New York (US) during which a third stent had been inserted into his heart.

The counsel added that the doctors had advised Mr Zardari three-month bed rest and provided medical certificates to the court.
