NEW Delhi, Sept 9: Indian Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh will host a dinner for President Gen Pervez Musharraf in New York on September 14, Indian news reports said on Friday. The other important bilateral meetings are with Chinese Prime Minister Hu Jintao, Russian President Vladimir Putin and South African President ThaboMbeki.

Indian Foreign Secretary Shyam Saran was quoted as saying that Gen Musharraf had accepted India’s invitation. He did not rule out the possibility of a summit meeting between US President George W. Bush and Dr Singh.

Prime Minister Singh leaves on a two-nation tour on Sunday to France and the US. In France, he will meet President Jacques Chirac and Prime Minister M. Dominique Villepin.
