PESHAWAR, Sept 9: The Pakistan Muslim League has claimed that people rejected the strike call given by the opposition parties. Speaking at a news conference on Friday, the party’s secretary information Nigat Orakzai said that the MMA had given the strike call despite the fact that it ruled two provinces of the country.

Accompanied by Ihsanullah Khan, president of PML transport wing, she said it was clear that the MMA had expressed no-confidence in its own governments in the NWFP and Balochistan by asking people to observe strike.

The general public, transporters and traders had reposed confidence in the government by not taking part in it, she said.

She demanded the removal of MMA’s governments in the Frontier and Balochistan, saying that the action was necessary to resolve people’s problems.
