PPP Senator Rehman Malik has called on the Senate to pass a resolution that poor people will be tested for the virus free of cost. "They have the foremost right to get tested," he said.

He also called for a resolution stating that Pakistan would not take further loans from international creditors. He added that the government must be clear about the definition of a lockdown.

Malik expressed reservations about the number of coronavirus cases in the country, saying that according to calculations he made in conjunction of doctors, Pakistan has at least 800,000 cases.
