World Literacy Day

PESHAWAR, Sept 6: World Literacy Day will be observed in Peshawar on September 8, like other parts of the country, for highlighting the importance of education.

Various programmes have been chalked out in line with the theme of the day.

The Peshawar Girls Guide organization would hold a walk in connection with the day which would commence from the Government Primary School, Civil Quarters, and culminate at the Girls Guide House, Debary.

A declamation contest would also be held by the Girls Guide at the end of the walk.

Various other functions and programmes would also be held in educational institutions here.—APP
