Mansurul Haq’s name removed from ECL

ISLAMABAD, Sept 6: The interior ministry on Tuesday removed the name of retired Admiral Mansurul Haq from the Exit Control List (ECL), a source in the ministry told Dawn on Tuesday.

The source said the name of the admiral was removed from the ECL on the request of the National Accountability Bureau.

Following the removal of his name from the ECL, the former admiral is likely to proceed abroad in the near future, the source said.

Mansurul Haq had been stripped of all military ranks and awards after he was declared guilty in a case of kickbacks and commission in defence deals.
