The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) directed the National Rural Support Programme (NRSP) to extend support to the capital administration to curb the spread of the coronavirus.

According to a statement, Islamabad Deputy Commissioner Hamza Shafqat said the volunteers will be given training before they commence community mobilisation campaigns in their respective union councils.

Volunteers will ensure that the government's standard operating procedures are being implemented at mosques and commercial areas, trace suspected Covid-19 patients and spread awareness among the people.
