GHALANAI: The Krapa Road, which connects Ghalanai with Peshawar, is in bad shape and needs urgent repairs to facilitate travel of commuters.

Local people said that a number of accidents had occurred on this road passing through hilly areas, resulting in injuries to many people.

The 22km stretch of this road in Mohmand district is also important for commercial connectivity of the area with Peshawar district and other parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Transporters, commuters and patients face serious problems while passing through this road. The people of Mohmand, Bajaur, Dir and Chitral use this road as it’s the shortest way to Bajaur and Upper Dir through Nakki Tunnel. The Krapa Road was built in 2013.
