Jawad declared ‘Best Swimmer’

KARACHI, Sept 4: Jawad Kamani of Habib Public School clinched the “Best Swimmer” award after winning 12 gold medals in the two-day Sindh open and junior swimming championship at Karachi Gymkhana swimming pool on Sunday.

Jawad has created a new record by achieving the unique honour fourth time in a row since 2002.

Habib School won the championship with 329 points followed by Karachi Grammar School (173) at second spot. Naval Club made it to third position with 113.

In all 17 leading clubs and educational institutions took part in the event.

Following swimmers were declared group champions of their respective age groups.

U-8: Zayan Sardar of B.V.A.; U-10: Pasha Khan of T.C.S; U-12: Aniq Anwar of D.A.P.S (five golds); U-14: Anser Karim of K.G.S. (6 golds); U-16: Habibian Hasan Youshe Murad (7 golds); U-18: Habibian Jawad Kamani (12 golds).
