LAHORE, Jan 17: The Punjab Bar Council tribunal headed by Mr Justice Ijaz Ahmed Chaudhry of the Lahore High Court has cancelled the licences of two lawyers and suspended the licence of a third for misconduct.

The licence of Zahid Farooq was cancelled for getting himself enrolled on the basis of a fake law degree. A case was also registered against him with the Old Anarkali police with a direction that the investigations be completed within a month.

The licence of Chaudhry Abdul Ghani was cancelled for his failure to appear before the tribunal to answer the charges levelled against him being afforded a number of opportunities.

The licence of advocate Abdul Qayyum Qureshi was suspended for his failure to honour his promise to return the money paid by some complainants.
