RAWALPINDI, Sept 4: Two persons were killed and 10 others injured in a head-on collision between a passenger wagon and a bus on Pirwadhai Road on Sunday. Police said the Kotli Sattian-bound passenger bus (SGD-8555) crashed into a wagon (IDT-5795) while crossing Pirwadhai Road. As a result, two passengers identified as Mohammad Tanveer and Rubina Begum died on the spot while 10 others were injured.

The dead as well as the injured were pulled out of the vehicles by rescuers and shifted to different hospitals. The accident also caused traffic jam on the road for about one hour. Meanwhile, a man was shot dead by an unidentified person in Gulzar-i-Quaid while a woman was stabbed in a house robbery in Sadiqabad on Saturday, police said.

Attia Danish, wife of the deceased, lodged a complaint with the Airport police, saying that someone rang the doorbell of her house in Gulzar-i-Quaid. When she opened the door, a man forced his way into the house and held her at gunpoint.

The intruder shot dead her husband, Danish, when he rushed to her rescue.

In the second incident, a woman identified as Khalida Perveen was stabbed by three robbers who entered her house and looted the cash. Khurram Shahzad, the son of the victim, told Sadiqabad police that three unidentified masked men entered his house and stabbed his mother.
