The picture of the student with torture marks was uploaded on social media, with people demanding prompt action against the teacher.

Talking to reporters, the parents said when the boy complained that he had been beaten up by his teacher they checked and found torture marks on his body.

They also presented the boy to mediapersons, saying that various other students had also complained against the teacher but their parents failed to take action against him, thus encouraging him to continue torturing his students.

The parents said they had taken their son, Mohammad Nadeem, to the doctor who gave him medicines and advised him bed rest.

They demanded action against the seminary teacher.

When contacted, SHO Topi Niaz Ali Shah said the police had arrested the teacher after registering FIR against him.
