FPSC results by mid-February

ISLAMABAD, Sept 2: The results of competitive examinations 2005, held between August 6 and 23, are expected to be announced by the mid of February 2006, a statement says.

The statement said previously it took around a year to announce the results after the examinations, but this year, the process would be completed within six months.

It said in all 5,921 candidates applied for the competitive examinations 2005, however, only 3,678 appeared in the exams.

The number of examination centres had also been increased from five to 12 i.e Karachi, Peshawar, Lahore, Quetta, Islamabad, Multan, Faisalabad, Abbottabad, D.I. Khan, Sukkur, Larkana and Hyderabad, it added.—Our Reporter
