Careem has announced that as per government directives, it is resuming its delivery service for groceries and "items of essential need" from 8am to 7pm.

According to the company, delivery has been resumed for "essential items only including pharmaceuticals & medical equipment, uncooked grocery items, pre-packaged food items, pet food, relief goods on behalf of charity organisations, letters and bank documents and prepaid mobile cards".

It further outlined precautions that its captains will take including maintaining a distance of three feet, wiping the parcels with a disinfectant swab and leaving them on the customer's doorstep.
