A joint delegation of Chainstore Association of Pakistan and Pakistan Retail Business Council held a meeting with Sindh Governor Imran Ismail.

The current issues of the retail sector were discussed in detail, according to a press release by the association. It was suggested that the lockdown needs to be gradually lifted and retail stores should be allowed to open soon with suitable SOPs in place for safety of customers and employees.

In the first phase, e-Commerce activities should be allowed immediately especially in Sindh where online sales are completely restricted, added the press release.

The Punjab government's notification to restrict landlords from unlawfully evicting tenants was shared with the governor and it was requested to implement this in Sindh and on federal level as well.
