Provincial Health Minister Taimur Salim Jhagra has sought to explain why Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has more deaths than any other province even though it is not the most populous province.

Taking to Twitter, he said the reason behind KP's "grim statistics" is that unlike other provinces, there are cases in almost every district in KP.

"This is driven by the number of expats that go from across Pakhtunkhwa to the Middle East and come back home, which has caused greater geographic spread."
