A special prayer seeking Allah's forgiveness will be offered today at Aiwan-e-Sadr after Friday prayers, according to Radio Pakistan.

According to the report, the decision was taken during a meeting between the Council of Islamic Ideology and President Dr Arif Alvi.

The meeting also decided that Minister for Religious Affairs Dr Noorul Haq Qadri will deliver the sermon, which will be telecast live.

Speaking on the occasion, religious leaders urged citizens to offer individual prayers in order to help humanity deal with the pandemic.
