ISLAMABAD: The country’s two main opposition parties — Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) — on Saturday doubted that Prime Minister Imran Khan would take action against his “cronies” who had been found involved in the recent wheat and sugar crises in the country as per the reports of the Federal Investigation Agency.

PML-N information secretary Marriyum Aurangzeb in a statement said Imran Khan and his “wingmen” stole the nation’s wheat and sugar while he was busy in blaming others for wheat and sugar crises.

Ms Aurangzeb said Imran Khan, Jahangir Tareen and Khusro Bakhtiar had been revealed as the “true culprits and profiteers” of this crisis they created to make money.

Meanwhile, PPP information secretary Dr Nafisa Shah in a statement said the people who created sugar crisis in the country and minted money exposed as the “financial facilitators” of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

“Will he act against his deputy in Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI)? she asked. Dr Shah alleged that Imran Khan’s cronies had been caught stealing red handed “so will he cut their hands as per the principle of Madina State?”

These people have been forever in doubts and day dreaming pretending to always be oblivious of facts. Imran Khan has taken personal interest in this endeavor to un earth the culprits and is determined to take all necessary action irrespective. A bunch of these culprits were and are are also part and parcel of PMLN and PPP.

IF govt didn't take action, I, like many other PTI workers will loose trust in leadership and will then need to find any other platform who could deliver and meet expectations of the people of Pakistan. Looks like only about 6-8% of the sugar mills belong to the "friends" if IK. The remaining 92% belongs to the PML(N) and PPP. So wait for what is coming. Don't start whining when it comes.

I don't understand what they are talking about ? Don't they see that the report also includes the benefits they got during their tenure ? Did they ever public any such report which in anyone of their own involved ? They couldn't do this because they were partners in crimes. So how would they public it. IK will take action against all those who are involved n if didn't take it then why would public it. But at the same time one should also keep it mind that we living in Pakistan n anything can happen here. So hope for the best!
