As part of its crackdown against violations of partial lockdown in the city, Islamabad authorities arrested 424 people for violating section 144. 121 cases were registered against those who violated existing laws in place to curb the spread of Covid-19 in the capital.
Additionally, dozens of shopkeers were also arrested for price gouging.
Dozens of those arrested have been sent to jail on judicial remand.
