Wassan to contest for nazim seat

Published August 31, 2005

KHAIRPUR, Aug 30: PPP MNA Manzoor Hussain Wassan has said that Awam Dost Panel councillors are being kidnapped and implicated in false cases and families of women candidates are being threatened in Kot Diji taluka.

Speaking at a press conference here on Monday, Mr Wassan said that he would be a candidate for the taluka nazim of Kot Diji.

Answering a question, he said that the seat adjustment with the KDP in Nara taluka and boycott by the ADP candidate in the Naseer Faqir Jalalani union council were wrong decisions and party leaders had taken the decision were not realizing their mistakes.—Corresponent
