The Dar ul Iftah Jamia Naeemia in Punjab has issued a fatwa which states that people who are stopped by the government from coming to mosques because of some necessity are not obliged to perform the Friday prayers in congregation.
Dr Raghib Hussain Naeemi of the Jamia said that the prayers could be performed even if there were 3-5 people, adding that it was necessary to maintain social distancing to stop the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
