Exciting win for Asif Memorial

ISLAMABAD, Aug 29: Asif Memorial scored an exciting one-wicket victory against Panthers and Tigers (P&T) Club in the Inter-club cricket championship at the CRA ground.

The victory was achieved off the penultimate ball in the 25-over- a-side game after P&T had put on 181 for eight off their quota of overs.

Raheel Majeed topscored for Asif Memorial followed by Imran Fazil who contributed 25 as their side overhauled the rival total losing nine wickets.

Naeem Khan picked up three wickets for P&T while Jahangir and Tallat Hussain shared four scalps.

Earlier, Ali Ahmed hit a fine half century for P&T and Shudheer chipped in with 27 to help their team get a respectable total. Three of their wickets were snapped up by Asif Rehman with Naseer Ahmed claiming two.
