Ghaffar and Ansari lead

KARACHI, Aug 28: Seasoned M A Ansari and Ghaffar Qureshi were leading in Red and Green Houses in the Data Steel individual bridge championship at Aslam Memorial Hall on Saturday.

The event is part of the first anniversary of the establishment of Pakistan Bridge University.

Ansari emerged on top with 121.36. Naseem Arzoo was second with 120.81 and Hamid Mohiuddin third with 111.98.

In the Green House Ghaffar Qureshi led the field with 120.22 followed by Khaled Mohiuddin (114.82) and Rashidul Ghazi (114.08) at second and third spots, respectively.

Forty shufflers featured in the qualifying rounds out of which 24 have qualified for the final segment.—APP
