Prime Minister's Special Assistant on National Security Division and Strategic Policy Planning Moeed Yousuf said that the government has decided to suspend all public transport in Islamabad, Radio Pakistan reported.

Addressing a news briefing, Yousuf said that all outpatient departments(OPDs) will remain closed and only emergency services would remain functional in hospitals in the capital.

He said that those travelling in the Islamabad territory should carry their CNIC cards and government officials should carry their official cards as well when they travel.

He said that only the grocery and medicine sections in big departmental stores would remain open.
