The World Health Organisation's (WHO) collaboration with Whatsapp has reached over 10 million users across the globe, according to WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.
Announcing the milestone on Twitter, Tedros said: "Together we can stop Covid-19."
To activate health alerts, users can message "Hi" at +41 79 475 22 09. Once this is done, an automated message will follow giving users information on:
- Latest numbers from around the world
- Ways to protect yourself
- Frequently asked questions
