Downpour in Lahore

LAHORE, Aug 28: The city localities around the airport and Saddar received heavy rain on Sunday. Dark clouds hung over the entire city but it remained dry in the downtown, Gulberg and Garden Town areas.

According to the local Met office, the rain started at 11am and continued till noon, inundating almost all roads in Saddar area. It recorded 45mm of rain.

The impact of the rain kept the weather in the city pleasant throughout the day. The maximum temperature was 34.4 degrees C and the minimum 24.7 degrees C with 75 per cent humidity in the morning and 44 per cent in the evening.—Staff Reporter
