KARACHI, Aug 28: All necessary arrangements have been completed including setting up of an emergency centre and control rooms by the Saddar Town Municipal Administration to meet any emergency in case of the expected rains.

According to a statement issued here on Sunday, besides setting up of an emergency centre an Emergency Control Room (ECR) has also established in the central office of Saddar Town in Khayal Das Park. People have been advised to lodge their complaints regarding rain on telephone nos: 9211390/9211429.

The ECR will remain operational round the clock to provide immediate relief to the public.

It said some other ECRs had also been set up, one at the Central Fire Brigade and others in the Jahangir Park and Nishtar Road.

It added that besides sanitary staff, the staff of park buildings, roads, mechanical and electrical departments would be available at the ECR.

It would be pertinent to mention here that the administrator of Saddar Town, Mukhtar Hussain, has already cancelled the vacations of the town staff.

It further said Deputy Town Officer (Health) Shakeel Siddiqi would be available on cell no: 0300-2823913, ATO (Health) Clifton Fazal Dad on: 0300-2087363 while ATO (Health) Khori Garden, Nouroz Nana will be available on cell no: 0300-2504066 to resolve the problems of the people in case of any emergency.—APP
