A 34-year-old soldier of the Indian army has tested positive for coronavirus and has been placed in isolation, according to NDTV, bringing the total number of cases in the country to 147.
According to the report, the solider is from an infantry regiment known as the "Snow Warriors". His father had returned from Iran on February 27 when the patient was on casual leave and at home, NDTV said, adding that the soldier rejoined on March 2.
The patient's father was placed under quarantine on Feb 29 and reported positive for coronavirus on March 6. The soldier was quarantined a day later, and tested positive on Monday.
