Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Noorul Haq Qadri said that following the National Security Committee (NSC) meeting, along with Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) chairman Dr Qibla Ayaz, he had met with ulema and tried to take them into confidence regarding the coronavirus situation.

He said the ulema was themselves aware and wanted to do something. The CII presented the prime minister with certain recommendations. He added that these were sent to the provincial governments who will contact ulema at different provincial levels.
