GILGIT, Aug 27: A comprehensive plan is under consideration to harness the natural resources in order to generate electricity in Northern Areas. The government is spending Rs12.9 million on preparation of feasibility reports of five hydro-power projects to generate 33 megawatt electricity in Northern Areas to over come power shoratge, sources in the Northern Areas Public Works Organization said.

The projects are 20MW Hanzal power plant, 3MW Sai Jaglote plant, 3MW Kargah plant, 3MW Misgar plant and 4MW Minapin plant in Nagar.—APP
